Our comprehensive technical expertise and high degree of in-house manufacturing enable STABILA to develop and produce a wide range of rugged, highly precise digital protractors and angle finders – and all with Made in Germany quality.

In the construction industry
On the construction site, spirit levels and angle finders are traditionally used across all trades to determine inclinations and angles – yet in recent years, they are increasingly being combined with modern sensors. Electronic spirit levels and electronic angle finders from STABILA combine the universally admired quality of classic measuring tools with state-of-the-art electronics. These modern products have a broad range of applications and increase efficiency during day-to-day work.

In industry
Electronic measuring tools used in the industrial sector are primarily deployed in the fields of process optimisation and quality assurance as well as in the commissioning and set-up of production plants. The new product line from STABILA helps the user to measure and analyse data, and – depending on the design – to also transmit it. The way in which the measuring tools are used varies based on whether they take the form of a mobile handheld unit or a permanently installed measuring station. The handheld unit enables individual measurements to be taken and documented straight away on site, and when used as a measuring station, the unit continuously delivers measurement data over a defined period, for example, to monitor a machine.

The housing design of the STABILA TECH 500 DP and TECH 1000 DP digital protractors is specially designed to meet the needs of industry. Thanks to the integrated T-slot, the unit can be securely fastened to production plants with the aid of standard T-slot nuts, guaranteeing precise and reliable measurement results. In addition, a V-groove and an extra-strong rare-earth magnet system offer variable mounting options on round and flat surfaces.

The TECH 1000 DP digital protractor has a Modbus RS-485 interface. This interface is a globally used industry standard. It enables the digital protractor to be flexibly integrated into a production plant or directly connected to an external peripheral device (Windows XP and above) for the purposes of transmitting measurement data. The Modbus RS-485 interface delivers measurement results in real time without any time delay whatsoever. With the aid of the STABILA ANALYTICS software, the measurement data can easily be logged, archived, visualised and evaluated without any additional programming.
