Notification in accordance with Article 13 of the GDPR on applicants' data

STABILA takes the protection of personal data very seriously. As a private company, we are subject to the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and regulations of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We have implemented technical and organisational measures to ensure that these provisions relating to data protection are observed by us and our external service providers.

Scope and purpose of the processing of applicants' data

When an applicant makes contact with us, the personal data collected through the application platform is used to process the application. Some personal data must be provided to enable us to process the application. Without this data, adequate processing cannot take place. STABILA only processes personal data to the extent that is objectively necessary to process the application.

The following details about the applicant are processed:

  • First name, last name
  • Phone number
  • E-mail address
  • Application documents (cover letter, CV, references, certificates etc.)

 

Legal basis for the processing of personal data

We process data submitted to us in connection with an application solely for the purpose of filling job vacancies within our company. Application-related data is only shared with the individuals and departments responsible for the application process. No other use is made of this data and it is not shared with any third parties.

In accordance with Section 26 of the amended Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), it is permissible to process personal data which is required in connection with the decision on the justification of an employment relationship. If the data is required after the application process is complete for the purposes of initiating legal proceedings, processing of the data may take place in accordance with Article 6 of the GDPR, in particular for the purposes of legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR. In such a case, our interest would consist in the assertion or defence of claims.

Finally, we process application-related data for future application processes if the applicant has consented to this. In such cases, the legal basis for processing is Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR.

 

Duration of storage

Application-related data is deleted six months after completion of the application process. This does not apply if there are legal provisions preventing deletion of the data, if continued storage of the data is required for the purposes of evidence, or if you have consented to a longer period of storage.

 

Place of data processing

Application-related data is processed in the Federal Republic of Germany and in a member state of the European Union (EU).

 

Right to object

Applicants may object at any time to the processing of their personal data. In this case, the data is erased immediately unless there are legal obligations to retain it. Applicants may also revoke their consent at any time with future effect. Revoking this consent will prevent us from processing the application and making contact with the applicant.

Your rights

  • If you would like to know what personal data we have stored relating to you, we will inform you upon request as you have the right of access in accordance with Article 15 of the GDPR and Section 34 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
  • If you inform us that personal data is incorrect, we must correct it. You have the right to rectification in accordance with Article 16 of the GDPR.
  • You have the right to have your personal data deleted in accordance with Article 17 of the GDPR and Section 35 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). You also have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data in accordance with Article 18 of the GDPR.
  • You have the right to object in accordance with Article 21 of the GDPR. Any consent to the processing of your personal data that you may have granted can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. If you inform us that you object to your personal data being processed, the lawfulness of processing based on your consent is not affected until you submit your objection.
  • You have the right to data portability in accordance with Article 20 of the GDPR.
