From March 2026, STABILA will be offering the 196-2 type spirit level, with two vertical vials for quick readings in any position, in two different sets at attractive special prices. A reissued set will include the lengths 122 cm and 61 cm, while a completely new set will feature an extra-long 183 cm spirit level for accurately aligning longer components and a compact 40 cm model for shorter parts or tight spaces. This set is the perfect complement to the 122 cm / 61 cm set, since both together cover the most frequently used lengths. All Dark Shadow 196-2 spirit levels have a striking matt anthracite finish for a stylish look.
The new Dark Shadow set includes the special edition of the STABILA 196-2 type spirit level in lengths of 183 cm (for accurate alignment of longer components) and 40 cm (for shorter components or tight spaces).
The reissued 196-2 Dark Shadow spirit level set from STABILA includes two spirit levels in lengths of 122 cm and 61 cm as a special limited edition at an attractive price.
The type 196-2 spirit level is suitable for a variety of measuring tasks in bricklaying, carpentry, timber construction, reinforced concrete construction, window fitting, road construction, gardening and landscaping.
All models in the sets are made in Germany and feature the STABILA LOCKED VIALS technology: to ensure durable precision, the quality vials are connected to and cannot be removed from the aluminium rectangular profile, as part of a special installation process. The vials offer optimum readability at all times thanks to the highly transparent, hard-wearing acrylic glass with precision-ground inner contours and fluorescent vial fluid.
The large finger-grip openings on the STABILA 196-2 type spirit level ensure a secure hold.
The end caps on the STABILA 196-2 type spirit level can be removed for exact positioning and marking right to the corners.
The ultra-rigid aluminium profile with reinforcing ribs guarantees high stability, while the large finger-grip openings ensure a secure hold. The shock-absorbing end caps are fitted with slip stoppers to keep the spirit level securely positioned while you work. The end caps can be removed for exact positioning and marking right to the corners. An electrostatic powder coating also makes the spirit levels easy to clean.
