The new LAX 500 G cross line plus plumb point laser from STABILA is a truly versatile tool for interior construction. The plumb-line dots allow you to work efficiently on razor-sharp green lines in both the vertical and horizontal plane. The new laser is operated with a CAS 12 V LI-Power 2.0 Ah battery, which is compatible with all STABILA 12 V lasers and all CAS 12–18 V chargers.
Easy to use and versatile
The pendulum technology, designed for the construction site, ensures rapid self-levelling, allowing the laser to be used immediately. The laser is easy and convenient to operate, with just one function per button. It uses STABILA GREENBEAM technology, with optimally visible green lines that allow the user to work directly at distances of up to 40 m. The range of the activatable pulse-modulated lines can even be increased to up to 150 m using the REC 500 RG receiver, available as an accessory. Layouts can be accurately transferred from floor to ceiling using a plumb line upwards and downwards. The high-performance diodes have a large opening angle, allowing the vertical line to cover almost the entire room. You can therefore perform plumb-line and levelling work on the floor, wall and ceiling at the same time. Thanks to the rotatable casing, the vertical line can also be positioned with complete flexibility.
Marking diagonals is easy: in manual mode the laser can be positioned at any inclination by locking the pendulum and using the ST-K-S tripod (available as an option).
The laser can be reliably attached to metallic objects thanks to a strong rare-earth magnet system. It also comes with a target plate with magnetic holder and cross-hair. This is used to align the laser vertically or horizontally with a target point – for suspended ceilings, for example, the target plate can easily be attached to metal rails with the magnetic holder.
Cleverly designed accessories
The cleverly designed accessories, included with both sets, allow the laser to be used in a range of additional ways. With the SWB 10 wall bracket the laser can be positioned at any desired working height. The horizontal laser line can be precisely aligned to the required height thanks to the rough and fine adjustment. The height is adjustable by up to 11 cm. With the attachable SLB 500 laser base, the laser can be mounted directly on U-profiles. Available as an optional accessory, the LT 30 telescopic laser support allows the laser to be conveniently positioned at the desired working height (20–365 cm).
Well protected
The LAX 500 G cross line laser (not including the battery) is protected to the IP 54 protection rating against dust deposits inside and against spray from all directions. The Protector System for the glass and laser optics prevents damage and loss of accuracy during transport by means of the inward-rotating casing, protective slider and pendulum locking mechanism. The shock-absorbent soft grip casing provides additional protection for the laser optics against dirt and impact.
Long service life with powerful CAS battery
The LAX 500 G cross line plus plumb point laser is equipped with a CAS 12 V LI-Power (2.0 Ah) battery. It can be used in conjunction with all 12 V battery packs from CAS 12 V brands and chargers from any CAS brand. The laser can be supplied with battery and charger, or without for professionals who already use other devices powered by CAS batteries.
The battery allows a long operating time of up to 20 hours and recharges in no more than 45 minutes with the SC 30 rapid charger (available in appropriate versions for the UK and Australia). The individual cells are continuously electronically monitored to ensure a long battery life. The charge level can be checked on the capacity display at any time. To extend the battery’s service life, the lines can be switched on and off individually depending on the application. If the laser is required again after being unused for a long period, it is ready to use immediately as the battery experiences almost no self-discharge.

The STABILA LAX 500 G cross line plus plumb point laser is available in two versions: as a 5-piece set including the SLB 500 base, SWB 10 wall bracket, target plate and carrying case, but without a battery and charger, and as a 7-piece set which also includes a battery and charger.
