„We have built our new site for the future.“
– Dr. Ulrich Dähne, CEO of STABILA
A second site in Germany has now been opened in the industrial park of Wilgartswiesen-Hauenstein, offering enough space to house STABILA’s many products. From here, products are shipped across the world to loyal customers.
STABILA celebrated its 135-year anniversary by opening the new, state-of-the-art logistics facility. The celebration at the end of June welcomed employees alongside shareholders, advisory board members, friends of the company and representatives of the district and local communities. This gave guests the opportunity to look around the large logistics facility, measuring around 8,000 m². Guided tours provided a comprehensive look at the modern warehousing and logistics processes made possible by the new site. “STABILA opening this new logistics facility is a milestone for the company and highlights its commitment to Southwest Palatinate as a business hub,” explains Dr. Ulrich Dähne, CEO.
Around €15 million was invested in the new STABILA site. The company has an optimistic view of the future: space has now been freed up at the headquarters in Annweiler, which could soon be used to expand production.
STABILA’s strong growth figures over the past few years were a crucial factor in deciding to build a new logistics facility. Its revenue has more than doubled over the past ten years, but the space available for logistics remained the same. There was barely any suitable land in Annweiler, which is why the company decided to set up a site in the Wilgartswiesen-Hauenstein industrial park. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in November 2022. It was a tight schedule, made possible in the end thanks to the immense effort of everyone involved. The site finally opened a good 18 months after the groundbreaking ceremony.
