STABILA has been actively engaged in promoting young people in the building sector for many years now. Today, this commitment has become more important than ever, as the dearth of young people in trade professions is a globally growing concern.
Due to the acute shortage of skilled labour, young people today have better career opportunities in the trade professions than ever before. It is a task for society as a whole to raise awareness of the attractiveness of careers in construction and the trades and to motivate more young people to take up training in a suitable trade.
As a medium-sized family business and manufacturer of high-quality measuring tools, STABILA has always been closely linked to the building sector. The sense of responsibility and passion we feel has made us committed to promoting young tradespeople around the world for many years. That is why we support organisations which champion the interests of trade professions on a national and international level. Our experienced trainers pass on their extensive knowledge of levelling, measuring and aligning to young tradespeople at a host of educational establishments. STABILA is actively committed to maintaining and raising standards in the trades, not only by providing high-quality tools, but also through sharing expertise specifically with aspiring and talented tradespeople.
STABILA on site in training centres
Our specialists regularly visit training centres throughout Germany, working closely with instructors and trainees. Our trainers are passionate about passing on their practical expertise to the next generation of talent in the industry. Direct dialogue with and questions from trainees are also valuable to us in making our products even more application-oriented. Our support for training organisations and schools is not limited to Germany either, as we are continuously building on our involvement in many countries around the world.

The skilled trades championships
It’s not just in the world of sport that national teams compete in championships, but in trade professions too. Young people around the world have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in international and national competitions such as the WorldSkills and EuroSkills. In many cases, when it comes to accuracy just a few millimetres can make the difference between success and defeat, so it pays not to make any compromises when it comes to choosing your measuring tools and to opt only for the best. This is why STABILA supports national teams representing a variety of trades with high-quality measuring tools. STABILA has also been a supporter and sponsor of the WorldSkills and EuroSkills competitions for many years.

My1stabila – A campaign to support vocational training in the trade sector
STABILA has been supporting and promoting training in the trade sector for many years. The My1stabila campaign stands for our global commitment to promoting young talent in training centres and Chambers of Crafts and Trades. In addition to having that personal contact and engaging with our trainers, young tradespeople can also network with each other and with us on social media channels using the hashtag #my1stabila. The numerous postings and repostings there all demonstrate how training-related posts are shared in the community, which in turn gives young people around the world inspiration for their own future career path.
