HOW IT ALL STARTED
By 1900 the company is exporting a wide range of measuring tools to countries around the world.
Anton and Franz Ullrich produce the first folding rules in Maikammer, southwestern Germany.
The brothers obtain a patent for a spring-loaded joint for folding rules. This marks the birth of the folding rule that we know today.
Gustav Ullrich establishes the Meterfabrik (ruler factory) in Annweiler.
